Yoga
Most of us have gone to a yoga class by now and experienced the good feeling afterward. I often hear people say, 'I want to try it, but I am not flexible!' Flexibility is NOT yoga, and your inability to bend over your toes doesn’t need to stop you from trying.
Haven't you ever been to a class before? Come and see me for a private introduction, and we can build your confidence.
Do you want to deepen your practice? Maybe finally conquer that handstand. Let’s try doing some work together!
Looking for an idea for your bestie’s birthday or anniversary? Treat them to a partner (or private) yoga class together. WE playfully practice, look deeper into ourselves, and learn practices and meditations for the relationship.
My favorite types of yoga to practice (and teach) are Kundalini and Ashtanga. What's Ashtanga? I would say the root of all Vinyasa. What’s Kundalini? A practice that changed my life.
My style of teaching likes to focus on a few things:
-
Breath: We are breathing; then we aren't living, some say, and it is the most essential part of your practice. (See, you can show up and breathe, and you have already begun your class.)
-
Alignment: This is important not only for your safety but also to learn the proper position of the pose and prevent injuries.
-
Providing a positive and sensational (doesn't mean hurtful) yoga practice with you.
-
Fun – of course.
